So as not to disappoint la Ang, here’s some more work.
Both of these ATCs are for Nicci’s ink and watercolour swap at Swap-Bot and are now on their way to Australia.
Inspired by Nicci, the card on the left was slathered with gesso before I broke out the watercolours. I had never tried it before and I think that I like it. Of course, it doesn’t jive with my need for instant gratification but I’m willing to overlook how long it took everything to dry because the colours are very vivid and gesso (because I don’t sand) provides some texture. The other ATC is a lucky one because after adding tonnes of water to my tiny substrate and splashing colour on it, it turned out lovely. I like it when that happens.
And now, I shall return to my temporary paid gig. It’s new and it’s making my head hurt.
