I’ve been making quite a few ornaments these days. Most have been for my Etsy shop, although I only have two listed at the moment. I also want to make some for my tree and I need to make some for this swap.
This mitten will probably be sent off for the swap, but I do plan on making some more because they are super easy, super fun, and a super opportunity to use some of the wool felt that Ptichka and I made last week.
The mitten body is from acrylic felt and the cuff is wool felt. I sewed buttons on the cuff for some detail and then blanket stitched the entire thing together. Now that I know how to do blanket stitch, I’m smitten.
The glue on the current batch of bird ornaments is probably just about dry, so I should head back to the art room. It never ends some days.

oooh! I *love* the mitten! Hope I will be lucky enough to get one in the RVA swap! Good luck with your Etsy shop.
Those are (yes, it’s that dreaded word) cute!
Kirsten: Thanks! I hope that I’m your list for the RVA swap. Those ornaments you made are super cute!
Judi: I’m coming to grips with cute. It’s actually something I aspire to sometimes.
